Dear consignor,
We are asking all Consignors of Two-Year-Olds during the 2010 sales season to financially support our advertising campaign. Our goal is to raise $250,000.00 through the Advertising Fund. These monies along with strong financial support from our friends at the sales companies and other membership fund raising activities will be used for the promotion of the two-year-old sales, the awareness of your successful racehorses via National industry publication and an extensive TVG campaign. In 2009, the NATC raised and invested over $200,000.00 in advertising to promote the success of our product. This investment has been very successful in promoting buyer confidence and awareness of the success of our graduates at the racetrack. We believe our strength in numbers and our unified voice approach to promoting our product is in the best interest of all of us.
We are asking all consignors of Two-Year-Olds to make the following minimum contribution commitments for 2010: (All advertising Fund dollars will be deducted from proceeds.) THIS IS NOT A NOMINATION
- Fifty dollars per horse for all horses cataloged in an open sale
- One hundred dollars per horse for all horses cataloged in a select sale
All Advertising Fund paid Two-Year Olds of 2010 will be eligible for the 2010 NATC Futurities (Colt/Gelding & Filly Divisions), with a $200,000 dollar estimated purse for each. The races will be run at Monmouth Park - September 2010
On the catalog page of all horses paid into the 2010 Advertising Fund will be a NATC logo and under engagements the page will read:
** “Eligible to be nominated to the NATC Futurity ”
**Applies to all sales prior to May 15, 2010, after which, nominating/sustaining payments must be made by the consignor, this is in addition to the Advertising Fund fee. For example: If you have a horse selling at either the Timonium or Barretts May sale and the consignor has made the $50.00 early bird nomination payment due March 15th or the $100.00 nomination payment due May 15th, the engagements section of the catalog page will read:
“Nominated to the NATC Futurity”
If the consignor has not made the nominating/sustaining payments for the NATC Futurity on horses sold after May 15, 2010, the horse is not eligible for the Futurity.
We thank you in advance for your support and look forward to a successful Two-Year- Old sales season for all of us.
Sincerely,
NATC Board of Directors
